Consent Checkbox on Booking Forms

If your business needs an explicit yes from customers before you can text, email, or call them, you can add a consent checkbox directly to the calendar booking form. It gives the person booking a clear, affirmative way to agree to your messaging terms as part of scheduling their appointment.

What it captures

When someone checks the box and completes their booking, Vendi Today records:

  • The exact consent text they agreed to
  • The contact's IP address at the time of booking

This record is stored with the appointment and is viewable later from the appointment details or the contact's record, giving you a paper trail if you ever need to show consent was given.

Enabling it

  1. Go to Calendars > Calendar Settings.
  2. Select the calendar and click Edit.
  3. Open Advanced Settings > Form & Confirmation.
  4. Turn on Consent Checkbox.
  5. Write or edit the consent message shown to bookers.
  6. Save your changes.

This is configured per calendar, so you can use different consent language for different services if needed. No custom form is required — the checkbox is a native part of the booking form.

Important note

Turning this on does not by itself guarantee legal compliance. What consent language you need, and whether a checkbox alone satisfies privacy, messaging, or telecom regulations in your area, depends on your business and jurisdiction. Check with your own legal counsel to confirm your consent language meets the requirements that apply to you.
