Connect Google Business Profile Locations
Linking your Google Business Profile lets you publish updates, offers, and photos to your local listing alongside your other social posts. You can connect several locations and manage them all from Social Planner.
Before you start
- Sign in with the Google account that owns or manages the locations.
- Make sure each business profile is verified and fully set up on Google.
Connect a location
- Go to Marketing > Social Planner.
- Click the gear icon to open Settings.
- Choose Connect a new Google Business Profile location.
- Pick your Google account and grant the permissions requested.
- Tick the locations you want to make available in Social Planner.
- Confirm to finish. Each location now appears in the Post to field when you create a post.
Messages you might see
- "Location already added": That location is already connected; no action is needed.
- "This location belongs to a chain": Google disables its local post feature for locations in certain chain setups or accounts with many locations (more than 10). Posting to those locations from Social Planner is not possible.
Tips for smooth posting
- Keep your profile details current, since incomplete profiles trigger "missing value" failures.
- Remember the 1,500-character limit for Google Business Profile posts.
- Reconnect the account if you see an expired-login message.
Good to know: Use Customize for each channel to write a shorter, offer-focused version for your Google listing while the longer text goes to other networks.
