Accept Manual Payments in Forms and Surveys

Manual payments let customers order through a form or survey and pay offline, for example with cash on delivery, a bank transfer or a check.

Payment types

  • Cash on Delivery: the customer pays in cash on receipt.
  • Custom payment methods: bank transfer, check, card on arrival or any offline method you define.

Turn them on

  1. Go to Payments > Integrations > Manual Payment Methods.
  2. Enable Cash on Delivery, Custom Payment Methods or both.
  3. Add a description and a post-purchase message for each, such as bank details or pick-up instructions.
  4. Make sure the method is enabled for forms and surveys.

What buyers see

Once a product is added to a form or survey, the manual option appears automatically in the payment choices.

Handle the orders

  1. When someone submits with a manual method, the order appears in Payments > Orders with a Pending status.
  2. Collect the money in person or by transfer.
  3. Open the order and mark it paid, choosing the payment mode such as cash, card, check or bank transfer.
  4. The status also updates in the form's submissions.

Good fits

Local services, restaurants, event tickets and any business that takes cash or invoices.

Good to know: Review pending orders daily so you never fulfill or forget an order that has not been marked paid.
