Create a Blog

A blog in Vendi Today is a container for your articles, with its own look, URL and settings. You can create more than one, for example a company news blog and a customer tips blog.

Create the blog

1. Open Sites > Blog.
2. Click the button to create a new blog.
3. Enter a Blog Name.
4. Choose a Domain and a Slug. You can skip the domain now and attach one later.
5. Add a Description. It helps search engines understand what the blog covers.
6. Save to land on the blog's list view, where you can add posts and edit the blog layout.

How your URLs are built

If your domain is example.com and your slug is /blog, the blog home is example.com/blog. Posts use example.com/post/post-name. Categories, tags and authors appear as /blog/category/..., /blog/tag/... and /blog/author/....

If you use a subdomain such as blog.example.com, the slug is not needed. Posts sit at blog.example.com/post/post-name. Set the subdomain's default page to the blog home in your domain settings.

Customize the blog site

From the list view, open Edit Site to choose a layout, decide what each post card shows (image, title, description, tags, author, publish date) and style the blog home and post pages.

Good to know: If your chosen slug is already used by a page on the same domain, Vendi Today adds a unique suffix, so double-check the final URL in the blog's settings.
