Get Approval from Clients with a Secure Link

Some reviewers do not have a login. External approval creates a password-protected link so a client or stakeholder can review, approve, reject, or reschedule posts without being added as a user.

Generate and share a link

  1. Go to Marketing > Social Planner and choose an Approver from the dropdown.
  2. Click Generate Approval Link.
  3. Set a password: auto-generate one or type your own.
  4. Copy the link and send it by email, chat, or any messaging app, along with the password.

You need the right permissions to create links.

What the reviewer sees and can do

When they open the link, they see the caption and media, the scheduled date and time, the network, and any notes you added. They can:

  • Approve, with an optional note.
  • Reject, with feedback.
  • Reschedule the post.
  • Approve or reject several posts at once.

Their decision updates the post's status in Social Planner. You can read the notes, edit a rejected post, and resend it. Approved posts continue to publish as scheduled. Actions are no longer possible once a post has been published.

Manage links

Open Settings > Manage Links to view all links and their status (Active, Expired, Revoked). From there you can regenerate, revoke, or extend a link.

Expiry

Links last 30 days. After that the reviewer can ask for a new one, or you can regenerate it right away. The review page currently works on desktop browsers; a mobile layout is still coming.

Tips

  • Write clear notes so reviewers know what to look at.
  • Share links only with the people who should decide.
  • If a client cannot open the link, regenerate it.

Good to know: Revoke a link as soon as a campaign is signed off to keep access tidy.
