Verify Email Addresses and Phone Numbers

Verification confirms that the person really owns the email or phone number they typed, which cuts fake and mistyped entries.

How email verification works

  1. The visitor types a well-formed email address.
  2. A Verify Email button appears next to the field.
  3. Clicking it sends a one-time code to that inbox.
  4. The visitor enters the code in the form.
  5. The address is marked as verified in the submission.

How phone verification works

  1. The visitor enters a valid phone number.
  2. A Verify Phone button appears.
  3. Clicking it texts a one-time code to the number.
  4. The visitor types the code into the form.
  5. After a correct entry, the submission shows Phone Verified: Yes.

Verification codes sent by text are billed like regular text messages, so factor that into your usage.

Turn it on

Select the email or phone field in the builder and enable its verification option in the field settings, then Save and test in Preview. Both work in forms and surveys.

Why use it

  • Cleaner lists and better deliverability.
  • Fewer fake leads triggering your follow-up messages.
  • Confidence that a number is reachable before a call or text goes out.

Tracking results

Open Submissions to see which entries were verified, and filter or build Workflows around the result.

Good to know: Verification adds a step for the visitor, so use it where accuracy matters most, such as paid offers or high-intent inquiries.
