Delete an SEO Site Project
Deleting a project frees a slot so you can monitor a different website. It is permanent.
What deletion does
- Removes the project's audits.
- Reverses the fixes applied through that project, such as funnel path fixes, blog path fixes and automated external fixes.
- Restores your site quota immediately.
Edits you made yourself, outside the project's automatic fixes, normally stay as they are. Support cannot restore a deleted project.
Delete a project
- Go to Sites > SEO.
- In the Site Projects list, find the project.
- Click the three dots next to its name and choose Delete Project.
- Read the summary of what will change.
- Click Delete Project to confirm.
Afterward
- Check your quota at SEO > Settings > Quota Usage.
- Re-check redirects, sitemaps and search console coverage if you relied on them.
- You can add the same domain again as a new project for a fresh audit.
Who can delete
Users with enough access to Sites or SEO, typically administrators.
Good to know: Note down any fix you want to keep before deleting, since the project's automated changes are rolled back.
