Edit Email Templates Inside the Send Email Action
You no longer have to leave your workflow to adjust an email. The template builder is embedded in the Send Email action, so you can view and edit the design right where you are using it.
Why it helps
- No switching between Marketing > Emails and your workflow.
- You see the real email as you configure the step.
- Quick fixes, like a typo or a new button link, take seconds.
Use it
- Open the workflow and click + to add Send Email, or open an existing one.
- Name the action and choose the sender, subject, and preview text.
- Select an existing template, or start a new one from the template list.
- Open the builder from within the action to edit blocks, text, images, and links.
- Save your changes in the builder, then click Save Action.
Tips for reliable emails
- Use merge fields such as the contact's first name for personalization.
- Always send yourself a test before publishing.
- Add an unsubscribe link and a physical address for compliance.
- Keep image file sizes small so messages load quickly.
Edits affect other workflows
If a template is shared across several workflows, changes made here may apply everywhere it is used. When you only want to change one workflow's version, duplicate the template first and edit the copy.
Special elements
Elements such as the Shopping Cart block fill in details at send time, but only when the action runs in a workflow with the matching order trigger.
Good to know: Duplicate a template before experimenting so your original stays safe.
