Build Navigation Menus and Dropdowns

The Navigation Menu element gives visitors a way to move between pages or jump to sections. It supports page links, external links, dropdowns with one level of nested items, and anchor scrolling, and it adapts to mobile automatically.

Add a menu

  1. Open the page in the builder and choose Navigation Menu from Elements.
  2. Drag it into a header or footer row.
  3. Select it to open its settings on the right.
  4. Click Add Item > New Menu Item, enter a name and set the destination.

Create a dropdown category

  1. Add the item you want to nest.
  2. Drag it beneath the parent item and nudge it slightly right until it indents.
  3. Or click Add Sub Item under the parent and configure the child link.
  4. Save, then preview and hover over the parent to check the dropdown.

Only one level of nesting is supported, which keeps menus easy to use on phones. To rename or delete an item, click the three dots beside it.

Layout and style

  • Wrap: turn it on so items drop to a new line when space runs out. It is not on by default.
  • Style tab: font, size, alignment, spacing, background color, hover effects and dropdown look.
  • Mobile: menus can collapse into a hamburger layout.
  • Scroll items: menu items can scroll smoothly to a section of the same page.

Good to know: Keep labels short and group related pages under a few parents; long, flat menus are the first thing to break on tablets.
