Track Blog and Post Performance

Blog Analytics collects views, clicks and audience details in one dashboard so you can tell which articles work.

Open the dashboard

  1. Go to Sites > Analytics.
  2. Use the category selector to choose Blogs.
  3. Pick a date range and a specific blog if you have more than one.
  4. Wait for the charts to load.

What each section tells you

  • Quick Performance Overview: total page views, published blogs and published posts.
  • Trends Over Time: how views move across the chosen dates.
  • Top Performing Posts: your most viewed and engaged articles.
  • Number of Link Clicks: which links inside posts get clicked, handy for judging calls to action.
  • Device Breakdown: desktop versus mobile readers.
  • Post Visits by Category: which topics attract visitors.
  • Author Links Clicked: interest in author profiles.
  • Imported vs. Manual: compares posts you wrote with imported ones.

Using what you learn

  1. Find your top three posts and write related articles.
  2. Move strong calls to action to places with higher link clicks.
  3. If mobile traffic dominates, check posts on a phone preview.

Good to know: Data is only collected from late August 2024 onward, so earlier periods show as Unknown.
