Set Up Taxes for Course and Community Offers

Course offers and paid groups share the same tax engine.

Configure your tax settings

1. Payment settings > Taxes.
2. Tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive pricing.
3. Turn on automatic calculation and a default tax category, if desired.
4. Add nexus addresses and tax IDs.
5. Assign a product tax code per item.

Applying it to courses and communities

Applies automatically anywhere sold through Payments — course offers, paid groups, events, subscriptions. Manual rates available instead of automatic calculation.

Test before you launch

Run a test transaction, confirm subtotal/tax/total display correctly.
