User Permissions in Calendars
Not every team member should be able to reschedule appointments or delete a calendar. Vendi Today lets you control, per user, what they can see and change within the Calendars module.
Two kinds of permission
Permissions in Calendars break down into two levels, applied across calendars, individual appointments, and calendar groups:
- View — lets a user see the calendar, its appointments, or its groups without being able to change anything.
- Manage — lets a user create, edit, or delete the calendar, appointments, or groups.
You can mix and match these per area. For example, a front-desk user might get View access to appointments but no Manage rights, while an office manager gets full Manage access to calendars and groups.
The "Assigned Data" toggle
A separate toggle, Assigned Data, changes how far a user's visibility extends:
- On — the user only sees calendars and appointments assigned to them, plus appointments belonging to contacts they follow.
- Off — visibility is governed purely by the View/Manage permissions granted to them, regardless of assignment.
This is especially useful on team accounts where staff should only see their own bookings rather than everyone's calendar.
Where to set this up
Go to Settings > My Staff, open a team member's profile, and look for the Permissions section covering Calendars. Adjust View and Manage access for calendars, appointments, and groups, and toggle Assigned Data based on whether that person should see only their own bookings.
Why it matters
Setting these permissions correctly keeps your scheduling organized and secure — staff can focus on their own bookings, while admins retain full oversight and the ability to manage every calendar on the account.
