Run Instagram Ads Through Ad Manager
Instagram ads are part of the Meta campaign builder, so one campaign can reach people on both Facebook and Instagram. You only decide which identity the ad uses and which Instagram placements it appears in.
Link Instagram to your Facebook Page
Linking happens in Meta, not in Vendi Today.
- Make sure your Instagram account is a Business or Creator profile. In the Instagram app, go to your profile menu, choose Account type and tools, then Switch to professional account.
- On Facebook, open your Page, go to Settings > Linked Accounts > Instagram, and click Connect Account.
- Log in to Instagram and enable access to messages and connected experiences.
- Confirm that the account appears in Meta Business Suite under Settings > Instagram Accounts.
Only one Instagram account can be linked to a Page. To move it to another Page, follow Meta's disconnect instructions.
Publish on Instagram
- Create a Meta campaign in Marketing > Ad Manager.
- At the ad set, choose your Facebook Page. A linked Instagram account is chosen automatically.
- If none is linked, select Use Facebook page in the Instagram account dropdown. The ad then borrows the Page's name and picture.
- Leave placements on automatic, or turn on manual placements and tick the Instagram ones you want. Instagram Explore Feed is no longer offered.
- Open the Instagram tab in the preview to see the ad as it will look.
- Finish the ad, budget and audience, then publish.
Reporting
Instagram results appear in the same Statistics tab as Facebook, combined at campaign level, with ad set and ad detail available.
Why use both
Instagram skews toward visual, younger audiences, while Facebook reaches a wider age range. Running both from one campaign gives broader reach with one budget.
Good to know: Click-to-message ads on Instagram need a linked Instagram account, so link it before building a messaging campaign.
