Set Up a Dedicated Sending Domain

By default you send through a shared domain — a dedicated one gives you a sending identity entirely your own.

Why it's worth doing

Your brand in the inbox, no "on behalf of" language. Better deliverability control, unaffected by others' habits. No address rewriting. Room for higher volume.

Setting it up

  1. Settings > Email Services > Dedicated Domain & IP, + Add Domain.
  2. Enter a subdomain (recommended over root, especially if you already use the root for business email).
  3. Add & Verify.
  4. Add the generated DNS records — automatic for some registrars, manual otherwise.
  5. Click Verify Domain from the three-dot menu.

What happens after verification

SSL issues automatically within minutes, securing tracking/click links. Starts in a warm-up period, not full volume immediately.

If sending high volume across multiple email types, see Choose Which Domain Sends Which Emails.
