Fix Google and LinkedIn Errors Before Publishing

When you click Publish on a Google or LinkedIn campaign, Vendi Today first runs a set of checks. If something is missing or invalid, publishing pauses and shows every problem in a single list, so you can fix them all in one pass instead of discovering them one at a time.

What the checks look for

  • Missing headlines, descriptions, website URLs or keywords.
  • Missing images, logos or videos, including the extra assets Google Demand Gen requires (long headlines, carousel cards).
  • Start or end dates that are not valid, such as a start date in the past.
  • On LinkedIn carousels, individual cards missing a headline or destination URL. The message names the card so you can find it quickly.

Google campaigns also pass through a short validation stage with progress messages before they are submitted.

Clear the errors

  1. Open the campaign in Marketing > Ad Manager and click Publish.
  2. When the Fix errors before publishing prompt appears, open the error list.
  3. Click any error. The builder jumps straight to the field or card that needs attention.
  4. Correct it, then move to the next item.
  5. Save your changes and click Publish again. The checks re-run and fixed items drop off the list.

Pre-publish errors versus platform rejections

Passing the built-in checks does not guarantee Google or LinkedIn will accept the ad. After submission, the ad platform may still reject it for policy or format reasons. Read the rejection message it returns and edit the ad accordingly.

Do not confuse these blocking errors with Opportunity Score, which only offers optional recommendations and never stops a publish.

Quick fixes

  • Error still showing: save, then publish again so the list refreshes.
  • Several errors on one ad: each missing field is listed separately.
  • Date error: set the schedule to start today or later.

Good to know: Fill in headlines, descriptions and URLs for every ad group before your first publish attempt, and the error list is often empty.
