Import a Canva Design into the Certificate Builder

You can bring your Canva design in directly and layer it with dynamic elements like recipient names.

Setting it up

1. Open the certificate (or badge) builder and start a new design.
2. In the editor sidebar, find the image import tool.
3. Connect your Canva account (one-time authorization).
4. Switch the media source dropdown to Canva.
5. Browse to the design you want and import it onto the canvas.

Important limitations

• No live sync: editing the original design in Canva afterward won't update the imported version.
• Text becomes locked: text in the Canva design is flattened on import and can't be edited inside the builder.

When to use this

The fastest path if your brand already has a design built out in Canva.
