Launch Your First Email Campaign
An email campaign is a one-time send to a group of contacts — a newsletter, an announcement, a promotion. Here's the path from blank page to inboxes.
Step 1: Design the email
Go to Marketing > Emails > Templates. You can start from the template library and adjust it to fit, or build one completely from scratch. Open your choice in the email editor and swap in your own text, images, and layout until it looks the way you want. Along the way, use the AI writing assistant if you want help drafting copy, and send yourself a test email before moving forward — it's much easier to catch a typo or broken link in your own inbox than after 2,000 people have already received it.
Step 2: Turn it into a campaign
Head to Marketing > Emails > Campaigns and click New, then select the template you just built. (You can also jump straight there from the three-dot menu on any template.)
Step 3: Choose your audience and send settings
- Pick the list or segment of contacts who should receive this email.
- Turn on tracking if you want to see opens and clicks.
- Decide how it goes out: Send Now for an immediate blast, Schedule for a specific date and time, Batch to release it to smaller groups over time, or RSS to auto-send based on new content from a feed.
Step 4: Review and send
Give everything one more look on the review screen, then confirm. You'll see the campaign's status move from Sending to Sent, and from there you can check performance — opens, clicks, and replies — to see how it landed.
A few tips for your first send
- Keep your subject line short and specific; it's the only thing standing between your email and the delete button.
- Test on both desktop and mobile before sending — most people will read it on their phone.
- Don't be afraid to schedule instead of sending immediately; a mid-morning send on a weekday often performs better than a Friday night blast.
