Fix the "Something went wrong" Message After a Purchase
Buyers may see "Order successfully placed! However, something went wrong while displaying this webpage, please contact the seller." The payment worked. The page simply has nowhere to send the buyer next.
Why it happens
After a successful order, the order form sends the buyer to the next step in the funnel or the next page of the website. If no next page exists, or the redirect points to nothing, this message appears.
Fix it with a next page
- Open your funnel and click Add New Step.
- Name it Thank You, set a path and click Create Funnel Step.
- Design the page with order details and next steps, then publish.
- Make sure it sits directly after the order step in the funnel.
Or change the redirect
- Select the order form element.
- Open its settings and find the redirect or after-purchase action.
- Choose Next Step, a specific page, or a custom URL.
- Save, publish and place a test order.
Check afterward
- The order appears in Payments > Orders.
- The buyer lands on the thank-you page.
- Any Workflow triggered by the purchase runs.
Good to know: Even a very simple thank-you page is better than none, and it is the perfect place to track conversions.
