Accept Tips on Invoices

If you run a service business where gratuities are common — salons, personal training, home services — Vendi Today can let clients add a tip right from the invoice they're paying.

Turning it on account-wide

1. Go to your invoice settings and open Payment Settings.
2. Find Invoice Tips and enable it.
3. Save your changes.

Once enabled, tipping becomes available as an option any time you send an invoice — including one-time invoices, recurring invoices, workflow-generated invoices, and invoices attached to a signed document or contract.

Configuring tips on a specific invoice

You can also fine-tune tipping per invoice:

1. Open the invoice from your Invoices list.
2. Click the three-dot menu at the top.
3. Select Manage Tips.
4. Choose which tip percentage options you want to offer, or allow a custom amount.

What the client sees

When paying, the client can choose one of your preset tip percentages or enter a custom amount, and the tip is added on top of the invoice total.

Refunds

If you need to refund an invoice that included a tip, the refund can include the tip amount as part of a full refund.
