Accept Apple Pay and Google Pay

Let customers check out with Apple Pay or Google Pay instead of typing in a card number. Both options are faster for the customer and process identically to a card payment on your end — same pricing, same reporting.

Requirements

Apple Pay and Google Pay are only available through Stripe Connect. If you're using a different payment provider, these wallet options won't appear.

Turn it on

1. Connect Stripe via Payments > Integrations (using Stripe Connect, not a manual API key).
2. On the Stripe integration page, enable the toggles for Apple Pay and Google Pay.
3. For Apple Pay, your domain needs to be registered with Stripe. This normally happens automatically as soon as Stripe is connected — you can double-check the registration in your Stripe dashboard if a customer reports the button isn't appearing.

No further setup is needed for order forms, invoices, or Text2Pay links — once enabled, the buttons appear automatically wherever Stripe is used to accept payment.

Where customers see it

Apple Pay and Google Pay buttons show up based on the customer's device, browser, and whether they have a card saved with Apple or Google — not every visitor will see them. Supported browsers include Chrome (desktop and Android), Safari (macOS and iOS), and Microsoft Edge on Windows.

These payment methods work for one-time purchases, recurring subscriptions, and upsells anywhere Stripe is your checkout processor — including order forms, invoices, and Text2Pay links sent over SMS.
