Move a FirstPromoter Program into Affiliate Manager

If you currently run your program in FirstPromoter, a guided import brings your campaigns, affiliates, referral history and commission history into Vendi Today without spreadsheets.

Before You Start

Gather these items:

• Your FirstPromoter Account ID and an API key with read permission (find both under Settings > API & Webhooks in FirstPromoter).
• A list of the campaigns you want to move and a copy of current affiliate links for later comparison.
• A decision on whether unpaid, pending commissions should come across.
• The payout term you want imported commissions to follow.

Run the Import

1. Go to Marketing > Affiliate Manager > Campaigns and click Import.
2. Enter your Account ID and API key, then click Connect & Fetch.
3. Tick the campaigns to migrate. You will see status, affiliate count, commission setup and cookie life for each.
4. Set your preferences: switch on Pending Commissions if wanted and choose the Payout Terms.
5. On the affiliate review step, resolve any email conflicts with an existing contact by choosing Merge (attach affiliate data to the current contact) or Skip.
6. Click Start Import. You can leave the page; you will be notified when it finishes.

After the Import

1. Open each imported campaign and confirm its external website setting and destination URL.
2. Install the campaign's tracking script on the destination site, funnel or website.
3. Recreate product-based commissions, which the import does not carry over.
4. Compare affiliate links with the old ones. A link only changes if it clashed with an existing one, and those affiliates need to be told.
5. Test a real referral before switching off your old program.

Good to know: You can run the import again later for more campaigns; items already imported are not duplicated.
