Set a Default Facebook Page
When you have several Pages connected to Ad Manager, one of them can be the default. It is simply the Page pre-selected whenever you start a new campaign, so you do not have to choose it every time.
Set or change the default
- Go to Marketing > Ad Manager.
- Click the gear icon at the top right to open Ad Manager settings.
- Open the Pages tab, which lists every connected Page.
- Click the three dots at the end of the row for the Page you want.
- Choose Set as default.
The previous default loses its status immediately, because only one Page can be the default at a time.
How defaults behave
- The first Page you connect during onboarding becomes the default automatically.
- If you remove the Page that is currently the default, the next Page in the list takes over.
- The default can always be overridden. In the campaign builder you can still pick any other connected Page before publishing.
- Changing the default does not alter campaigns you have already created or published.
When to use it
Choose the Page you advertise from most often, such as your main business Page, and leave the others available for special campaigns. If you manage separate brands, remember to switch the Page in the builder when you build an ad for the other brand.
Good to know: The default only saves clicks; it never forces an ad onto a Page, so double-check the Page on the creative step before you publish.
