Show Custom Values on WordPress Pages

Custom Values let you keep details such as a phone number, address, or seasonal promotion in one place in Vendi Today and display them anywhere on your WordPress site. Change the value once, and every page updates.

How it works

The Vendi Today plugin connects your site to your account and copies your custom values, including system values, onto WordPress. It refreshes them automatically every 12 hours, and you can trigger a refresh yourself with Sync Now. Each value gets a shortcode that you paste into content.

Connect and sync

  1. Make sure you are running a recent version of the plugin (3.5.0 or later).
  2. In the WordPress admin area, open the plugin settings and click Connect Account.
  3. Sign in to Vendi Today, choose your account, and approve access.
  4. Look for the confirmation message, then open the Custom Values section to confirm the data arrived.

Only one account can be connected to each WordPress installation, and only users with the right access can authorize it.

Use a shortcode

  1. Open Custom Values in the plugin.
  2. Click the copy button beside a value.
  3. Paste the shortcode into a page, post, or page builder text block. Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Beaver Builder, the block editor, and the classic editor all support shortcodes.
  4. Publish. Visitors see the current value.

You can filter the list by folder, and run a manual sync whenever you change something important.

Keep values fresh

If you use a caching plugin, turn on Purge cache on resync and avoid caching pages that show visitor-specific values. A deleted value appears blank until you resync or replace it.

Good to know: Sync right after editing a value in Vendi Today; waiting for the automatic cycle can leave visitors seeing old details for hours.
