Save Reusable Hashtag Groups

Hashtags help people discover your content. Instead of retyping the same ones, save sets of them as named groups and insert a whole set with one click.

Create a hashtag group

  1. Go to Marketing > Social Planner and click + New Post, then Create New Post.
  2. In the composer toolbar, click the # icon.
  3. In the pop-up, enter a Name for the set, for example "Spring Sale" or "Local Events".
  4. Add the hashtags you want in that set. A post can carry at most 30 hashtags in total.
  5. Click Save and Apply.

The group is saved and added to the current post right away.

Reuse a group

Whenever you write a new post, click the # icon again and choose a saved group. The hashtags are appended to your caption, and you can still edit or delete individual tags afterwards.

Naming ideas

  • By campaign, such as "Black Friday".
  • By topic, such as "Fitness Tips".
  • By audience or region, such as "Austin Locals".

Keep in mind

  • Networks cap hashtags differently. Instagram, for example, allows no more than 30.
  • Relevant tags usually beat long lists of generic ones.
  • Refresh your sets from time to time to remove tags that no longer fit.

Good to know: Put hashtag sets in a follow-up comment on Instagram if you want a tidier caption.
