Get AI Response Details in a Conversation
If your business uses an AI assistant to help respond to contacts, you can see exactly why it said what it said, and correct it right from inside the conversation — without digging through separate AI settings.
Opening the details
Open a conversation that includes an AI-generated message and click the small AI icon that appears below that message. This opens a sidebar with the response's underlying details.
What you can see and edit
- Response — the actual message the AI sent. You can edit this to improve future responses, though editing it here doesn't change the message that already went out to the contact.
- Prompt — the instructions the AI followed to generate that response. This is directly editable.
- Intent — what the response was trying to accomplish. This is shown for context but can't be edited here; changing it requires adjusting your AI configuration separately.
- Sources — the knowledge base entries and FAQs the AI pulled from to generate its answer.
Why this is useful
If the AI gives an answer that's slightly off, incomplete, or outdated, you can fix the underlying prompt or knowledge source on the spot, right where you noticed the problem, instead of hunting for it elsewhere. Anything you edit here — like a knowledge base entry — updates immediately and affects future AI responses across the board, not just this one conversation. Edited items are marked as Edited so you can tell what's been adjusted.
