Pick Popular Plugins While Creating a WordPress Site

The site creation wizard includes an optional step where you can tick plugins from a short list of popular, trusted choices. Whatever you select is installed and switched on for you before the site goes live.

What to expect

• The list is based on what people commonly install on hosted sites.
• Nothing from the list is forced; you install only what you check.
• The Vendi Today plugin is always installed on new hosted sites, so you do not need to select it.
• You keep full control afterward and can remove or add plugins at any time.

Steps

1. Click Sites then open the WordPress tab.
2. Click Create Site, or Complete Setup on a site you started earlier.
3. Move through the wizard until you reach the Popular Plugins step.
4. Tick the boxes for the plugins you want.
5. Click Continue or Finish Setup.
6. Wait while the site is built. Selected plugins are installed and activated automatically.

Managing plugins later

Open the site's WordPress admin from Sites, then go to Plugins > Installed Plugins. There you can deactivate plugins you are not using, delete experimental ones, or add something that was not on the list through Add New. You can also review versions and updates from the plugin management screen in Vendi Today.

Skipping the step is fine. It is simply a shortcut for people who already know which tools they will need.

Good to know: Fewer plugins means a faster, safer site, so only tick the ones you will genuinely use in the first few weeks.
