Protect Forms From Spam Submissions
Fake submissions clutter Contacts and can trigger costly automated emails and texts. A few settings keep them out.
Built-in protection
Vendi Today already screens submissions using signals like IP address and location, and shields forms from traffic floods. Add the steps below for stronger defense, especially if a form kicks off automated messages.
Add a CAPTCHA
- Open the form in the builder.
- In the Add Element panel, open Quick Add > Customized.
- Drag Captcha onto the canvas, above the submit button.
- Save and test in Preview.
A challenge blocks most bots and prevents fake contacts from being created.
Validate email and phone
Turn on validation for email and phone fields so disposable, invalid or mistyped details are rejected. Combine with the verification buttons for high-risk forms.
Limit where texts can go
If a Workflow texts new leads, restrict text messaging to the countries where your customers actually live. Contact support to adjust which regions are enabled for your phone numbers.
Quick checklist
- CAPTCHA on every public form.
- Email and phone validation on.
- No unnecessary automatic messages on forms that face the open internet.
- Review recent contacts for odd patterns.
Good to know: Start with a CAPTCHA plus email and phone validation; together they stop most junk submissions without bothering real visitors.
