Using Custom Values in Calendars

Custom Values are reusable pieces of information — a meeting link, a staff bio, an office address — that you define once and can drop into calendar text wherever you need them. Instead of retyping the same details in every notification or confirmation page, you insert a token and it fills in automatically.

Where you can use them

Custom Values can be inserted into:

  • Appointment titles and meeting location fields
  • Email and SMS notifications and reminders
  • Workflow messages triggered by bookings
  • Booking confirmation and thank-you pages
  • The "next step" page shown after someone books

Setting up a Custom Value

  1. Go to Settings > Custom Values and create the value you want to reuse (for example, a Zoom link or support phone number).
  2. Open the calendar where you want to use it, under Calendar Settings.
  3. Click into any text field that supports merge fields.
  4. Click the merge field icon (the { } symbol).
  5. Search for and select your Custom Value from the list.
  6. The value is inserted as a token, such as {{custom_values.your_key}}.
  7. Save your changes.

Testing

Book a test appointment through the calendar to confirm the Custom Value renders correctly in the confirmation page, email, or SMS message before relying on it for real bookings.

Why use them

Custom Values keep your messaging consistent across every calendar and notification, and they make updates painless — change the value once, and every place it's used updates automatically, instead of hunting through each calendar individually.
