Saving and Reusing Sections: Universal, Global and Template

When you build a block you like, such as a header, footer or testimonial strip, you can save it and drop it into other pages. Vendi Today offers three save types, and the one you pick decides how future edits spread.

The Three Save Types

  • Universal: stored at the account level. Edit any copy and every copy across funnels, websites, webinars and stores updates. Best for headers and footers.
  • Global: stored within one funnel or website. Edits sync to every copy inside that asset only.
  • Template: a static copy. Each insertion is independent, so changing it never touches the others. Best for blocks you adjust for each page.

Save a Section

  1. Open the page editor and select the section.
  2. Click Save Section to open the save window.
  3. Name the section and choose Universal, Global or Template.
  4. Check the generated preview image and confirm.

Insert It Elsewhere

On another page, click Add Section and open your saved items. Choose the one you want and it is placed on the page.

On large libraries, use the search box at the top of the Global Sections panel (Add Elements > Saved Sections > Global Sections) to filter by full or partial name as you type.

Things to Remember

  • The type cannot be changed after saving. To switch, clone the section and save the clone under the new type.
  • Saved sections have no version history. Once a Universal or Global section is edited, the earlier look cannot be recovered, and restoring an older page version will still show the latest section content.
  • Only layout is saved, not personal data.
  • If you use AI to revise a page, target a single section for local changes. Page-wide style requests can touch synced sections and ripple elsewhere. For a one-page variant, insert a Template or clone first.

Good to know: Decide the type before you save, because a Universal section edited in a hurry changes every page that uses it.
