Why a Popup Button Shows a Red Mark
A red mark on a button that opens a popup is the editor's way of telling you the popup is currently switched off, so visitors who click it would see nothing happen.
Fix it
- Open the funnel step or website page in the editor.
- Click the button that shows the red mark.
- Open the button's popup settings in the right-hand panel.
- Turn off the Disable Popup option.
- Click Save, then publish the page.
Once saved, the red mark disappears and the button opens its popup again.
Why it happens
The Disable Popup switch is useful when you want to pause a popup without deleting it, for example during a promotion that has ended. Because the button still points at the popup, the editor flags it so you do not forget it is off.
Still showing a red mark?
- Confirm the button is linked to a popup that still exists and has not been deleted.
- Check whether the popup is hidden on mobile or desktop in its visibility settings.
- Reload the editor to clear a cached view of the page.
- Preview the live page and click the button yourself.
Good to know: Always click your popup buttons in a preview window before publishing; the red mark is a hint, but only a real click proves it works.
