Style Forms Quickly With Themes and a Primary Color

Themes and the Primary Color setting give you a branded form in a couple of clicks, without touching code.

Apply a theme

Themes are ready-made presets that set fonts, colors, spacing and button styles together. They adapt automatically to phone, tablet and desktop.

  1. Open your form, survey or quiz in the builder.
  2. Click Styles & Options and switch to the Themes tab.
  3. Hover a preset and click Use Theme.
  4. Confirm by clicking Proceed, then check the live preview.

Applying a theme overwrites custom style changes made earlier, so pick one before detailed tweaking. After applying, open the Styles tab to adjust spacing, widths and fonts.

Set the primary color

The primary color is your accent for interactive states. It appears only when a visitor engages with the form:

  • Field borders highlight on hover and while typing.
  • Dropdown options and borders pick up the color when opened.
  • Selected checkboxes and radio buttons fill with it.
  • The chosen date in a date picker is highlighted.
  • Upload and signature areas use it as an outline.

To change it, open Styles & Options, find the Primary Color control, choose your brand color, and save. You can optionally apply the same color to the submit button for a matching look.

If no primary color is set, the form uses neutral gray styling.

Good to know: Pick a primary color with strong contrast against your background so selected and active fields stay easy to see for everyone.
