Sticky Contact Not Working Between a Form and Calendar
Sticky contact remembers a visitor, so details they typed into a form can pre-fill the calendar booking, or the reverse. If it stops working, the two pieces are probably built differently.
Common cause
The form and the calendar on the page are not using the same kind of element. Mixing a built-in element with a custom embed breaks the link between them.
How to fix it
- Open the funnel step or website page.
- Look at how each is added. They should both use the built-in Form and Calendar elements, or both use embed code.
- Replace the odd one out so both match.
- Save and publish.
- Test in a private browser window: submit the form first, then open the calendar and check that the name and email are filled in.
Other checks
- The form and calendar must be on the same domain.
- Visitors must have cookies enabled, since the contact is remembered in the browser.
- Fields must map to the same contact fields.
- Clear old cookies before testing.
Good to know: Test sticky behavior with a fresh browser session each time, because your own browser may remember an earlier visit.
