X (Twitter) Is Not Available in Social Planner

If you cannot find X, formerly Twitter, when you connect accounts or choose where to publish, this is expected. Publishing to X from Social Planner is currently unavailable.

What this means

  • You cannot connect an X account in the social accounts settings.
  • You cannot create, schedule, or publish posts to X from Social Planner.
  • X is not offered in the Post to list, in bulk uploads, or in recurring and RSS posts.

All other supported networks keep working as normal, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, and Bluesky.

Why

X changed the terms for outside tools to connect to its platform, adding very high access costs. Because those costs would not be reasonable to pass on, direct publishing to X is switched off for now. It may return if the platform's requirements change.

What you can do meanwhile

  1. Post to X directly from X, or with a dedicated X scheduling tool.
  2. Keep writing your core message in Social Planner and reuse it for X by copying the text and media.
  3. Use Customize for each channel to produce shorter copy that can be pasted into X with little editing.
  4. Use Social Listening and Statistics to keep tracking the networks that remain supported.

Staying informed

Release notes and announcements will tell you if X support comes back. No action is needed on your side for the other networks.

Good to know: Existing accounts that were previously connected will not be able to publish, so there is nothing to reconnect or troubleshoot.
