Show One Question Per Screen
One Question at a Time turns a survey into a focused, step-by-step flow, which often feels easier on phones.
Turn it on
- Open the survey in the builder.
- Click Styles & Options at top right.
- Under Survey Type, choose One Question at a Time.
Each field then sits on its own slide, in the builder as well as for visitors.
Things to know
- If you already use conditional logic, switching may affect how rules behave. A warning appears before anything changes.
- Fields added in bulk using Add Object Fields are split across separate slides automatically.
- The setting changes presentation only. No question is removed or edited.
- To go back to multi-question slides, switch the Survey Type back.
When it works best
- Short, conversational surveys.
- Qualification flows where the next question depends on the last answer.
- Mobile-first audiences.
When to avoid it
Long surveys with many tiny questions may feel slow; group related fields on one slide instead.
Pair it with
The mobile progress bar, so people see how many steps remain, and conditional logic jump rules for branching paths.
Good to know: Review your logic rules after switching types, since slide numbers change when each question gets its own slide.
