Reschedule a Scheduled Email Campaign

Plans change. If an email campaign is already scheduled but has not gone out yet, you can move it to a new date or time without rebuilding it. Rescheduling works for campaigns that use a single scheduled send, a batch schedule or an RSS schedule.

Before you start

  • The campaign must be in a scheduled state. The Reschedule option only appears for scheduled campaigns.
  • Make the change at least 60 minutes before the current send time. Edits made closer than that may not be picked up in time.
  • Saving alone is not enough. The new timing only takes effect after you click Schedule again.

Reschedule from the campaigns list

  1. Go to Marketing > Emails > Campaigns and open the Email Campaigns tab.
  2. Find the scheduled campaign and open its action menu (the three dots).
  3. Select Reschedule. The builder opens directly on the sending step.
  4. Pick the new date, time or batch settings.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click Schedule to confirm the new timing.

Reschedule while you are editing

If the campaign is already open in the builder, click Send or Schedule at the top, change the timing details, click Save, and then click Schedule. You do not need to go back to the list first.

When pausing is a better choice

If you do not know the new time yet, use Pause instead and resume later. A paused campaign that is resumed after its original time sends right away, so reschedule when you want a specific future moment.

Good to know: If your new schedule did not apply, the most common cause is stopping after Save. Reopen the campaign, click Schedule, and check that the status shows the new time.
