Workflow Builder Keyboard Shortcuts

Shortcuts help you build faster, copy whole branches in one move, and travel around a big canvas without the mouse. On a Mac use Cmd where the list says Ctrl.

See them in the builder

In the Advanced Builder, press K or click the keyboard icon at the top left. The overlay groups commands into Essential, Edit, View, Navigation, and Tools tabs.

Edit

  • Cut, copy, paste selected steps: Ctrl + X, Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V
  • Copy all steps from the selected one onward: Ctrl + Shift + C
  • Cut all steps from the selected one onward: Ctrl + Shift + X

View

  • Zoom in or out: + and -
  • Zoom to 100 percent: 0
  • Fit the whole workflow on screen: 1

Navigation

  • Next or previous step: Right and Left arrows in the Advanced Builder (Down and Up in the standard builder)
  • Move between sibling branches with the other arrow pair
  • Select upstream or downstream steps: Shift plus an arrow key
  • Select everything: Ctrl + A
  • Standard builder only: select all actions (Ctrl + Shift + A) or all triggers (Ctrl + Alt + A)

Tools

  • Save: Ctrl + S
  • Delete selected steps: Delete or Backspace
  • Delete everything from the selected step onward: Ctrl + Delete
  • Open the Action panel: Tab
  • Open the Trigger panel: Shift + Tab
  • Open the workflow switcher: Shift + W
  • Open Find: Alt + F (Windows) or Option + F (Mac)

Notes

  • Many shortcuts need a step selected first.
  • "From the selected step onward" shortcuts act on all following steps in that branch.

Good to know: Copy a branch with Ctrl + Shift + C, switch workflows with Shift + W, and paste to reuse a sequence in seconds.
