Run Several Chat Widgets on Different Sites and Pages

You can create as many widgets as you need, each with its own look, channels and messages, while all conversations still arrive in one inbox.

Why use more than one

  • A sales widget on a pricing page and a support widget on your help page.
  • Different branding for separate websites or funnels.
  • Updating one widget never disrupts another.

Create the widgets

  1. Go to Sites > Chat Widget.
  2. Click New and choose a type.
  3. Repeat for each widget you need.

Apply one widget to a whole site

  1. Open Sites > Websites or Funnels and choose the site.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select a widget from the Chat Widget list and save.

Apply a widget to one page only

  1. In the site's Settings, set Chat Widget to None and save.
  2. Open the widget, click Get Code and copy the snippet.
  3. Edit the target page, click Add Element, and drag in a Code element.
  4. Choose Open Code Editor, paste the snippet and save.

Good to know about behavior

  • If a widget is chosen in site settings and also embedded by code, the site setting wins.
  • Changes to widget settings apply automatically without reinstalling code.
  • Use Preview in the editor to see which widget a page shows.

Good to know: Name each widget clearly, such as "Pricing page sales chat", so choosing from the list stays easy.
