Understand Webinar Video Analytics
Webinar analytics show who registered, who showed up, how long they stayed and when they left, for live, on-demand and recurring events.
Where to find it
Go to Sites > Analytics > Webinars, choose the On-Demand, Live or Recurring tab, and pick a date range. Hover over a chart point for exact counts. Use Quick Filter to narrow by device, traffic source or custom field.
What each tab shows
- On-Demand: total views, average watch time, plays, pauses, completion percentage and the moment where most people leave.
- Live: registrations compared with attendees, the peak number of viewers at once, and engagement spikes along the timeline.
- Recurring: registrations, attendees, repeat attendees, average attendance and conversion across the series, plus per-session trend lines.
For accurate data
- Publish your registration pages.
- Make sure the form sends registrants to Contacts, so viewing links to a person.
- Run or release the session. No tracking code is needed.
Live data appears almost instantly; final totals and completion percentages finish within about 10 to 15 minutes after the event.
Take action
- Use the Video Tracking workflow trigger to follow up when someone watches a set percentage.
- Move calls to action to just before the biggest drop-off point.
- Export charts as CSV or PDF from the three-dot menu on a widget.
A repeat attendee is anyone who joins two or more sessions in the same series during the date range.
Good to know: Compare registrations to attendance after each event; a large gap usually means your reminders need work.
