Automatically Optimize Images for Each Network

Different networks have different rules for image format, file size, and shape. Media Optimization checks every image you upload and quietly adjusts it so it will not be rejected at publish time.

How it works

  1. Click + New Post in Social Planner.
  2. Upload an image. A Media Optimization toggle appears and is on by default.
  3. When it is on, Vendi Today checks the image against the rules of each selected network, then converts, compresses, or resizes it as needed.

The adjusted version is what gets published. The composer preview keeps showing your original file.

What gets checked

  • Format: For example, Instagram Stories require JPEG, while Google Business Profile accepts JPEG and PNG.
  • File size: Limits range from about 4 MB for Facebook Stories to 10 MB for Facebook posts, Pinterest pins, and Community posts.
  • Aspect ratio: Instagram feed posts need a ratio between 4:5 and 1.91:1.
  • Dimensions: Google Business Profile wants between 720 and 3000 pixels per side; LinkedIn wants between 250 and 6012.

Switching it off

Turn the toggle off on a single post to keep the original, or change the default under Social Planner > Settings if you always want untouched media.

When to leave it on

Leave it on for everyday posting, because it prevents the most common failed-post causes. Turn it off only when you need exact, pixel-perfect files and have already prepared them.

Good to know: Optimization applies to images only for now; videos still need to meet each network's own specifications.
