Launch a Website from a Template

Building a full website from a blank page takes time you may not have. Starting from a template gets you a professionally designed site you customize instead of build from zero.

Pick a starting point

  1. Go to Sites > Websites and choose From Templates.
  2. Browse the library and pick a design that fits your business.
  3. Name your website and click Create.

Make it yours

Go page by page and swap in your own content — headlines, photos, service descriptions, navigation labels, forms, colors. Use the preview toggle to check how each page looks on both desktop and mobile as you go; a layout that looks great on a laptop can break in surprising ways on a phone screen.

Keep in mind that saving your work updates the draft only — visitors won't see your changes until you publish, so it's safe to experiment.

Connect your own domain

Running the site on a Vendi Today address works, but most businesses want their own domain.

  1. Go to Settings > Domain > Connect Domain.
  2. Choose automatic connection if your domain provider supports it (you'll sign in and Vendi Today handles the DNS setup for you), or manual connection if you'd rather copy the DNS records over yourself.
  3. Wait for verification to complete — this can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours depending on your provider.
  4. Back in Settings, select your newly connected domain and decide whether it should point to your root domain (yourbusiness.com) or a subdomain (www.yourbusiness.com).
  5. Save.

Go live

Head back into the website builder, give every page a final look, save, and publish. Repeat for each page individually — publishing one page doesn't automatically publish the rest.

Double-check before you share the link

Open your site in an incognito or private browser window and click through it as a stranger would. Confirm the domain loads securely, nothing points to a broken link, and no placeholder text or images made it into the final version.
