Set Up Pipelines and Track Opportunities

A pipeline gives you a visual snapshot of every deal in progress — who's just inquired, who's about to close, and who's gone quiet. Each deal is called an opportunity, and it moves through stages as it progresses.

Build your pipeline

  1. Go to Opportunities > Pipelines and click Create New Pipeline.
  2. Name your pipeline and add stages that match your actual sales process.

A simple starting set of stages might look like: New Lead, Contacted, Booked Call, No Show, Proposal Sent, Closed Won, Closed Lost. Feel free to rename or add stages to match how your business really works — there's no single right structure.

Getting opportunities into your pipeline

Add one manually when you already know about a deal:

  • Go to Opportunities and click Add Opportunity.
  • Attach it to an existing contact or create a new one.
  • Choose the pipeline, starting stage, and estimated deal value.
  • Save.

Import a batch if you're bringing over existing deals:

  • Go to Opportunities > Import, upload your file, and map the columns to the right fields.

Let them appear automatically by connecting pipeline stages to events elsewhere in Vendi Today. For example:

  • A form submission drops a new lead into your first stage.
  • A booked appointment moves someone into a "consultation scheduled" stage.
  • A completed payment automatically creates a "closed won" opportunity.
  • Adding a specific tag to a contact shifts them to a different stage.

Setting this up once means your pipeline stays current without anyone manually dragging cards around all day.

Keeping values accurate

Assign a dollar value to each opportunity as you create it. With values attached, your pipeline view doubles as a running total of what's in your sales funnel at any given stage — useful for a quick gut check on where your revenue stands.

Moving deals forward

As conversations progress, drag an opportunity from one stage to the next, or let automation handle it based on the triggers you've set up. Either way, the pipeline view gives you an at-a-glance read on where every deal actually stands.
