Import an HTML Email as a Template or Campaign
If you already have a trusted email design in HTML, you can paste it into the code editor and keep managing everything in Vendi Today.
Import as a template
- Go to Marketing > Emails > Templates.
- Click + New and choose a blank template.
- When asked which editor to use, pick the Code Editor (the HTML option) rather than the drag-and-drop one.
- Paste your HTML into the editor area.
- Check the preview, then save and name the template.
Import as a campaign
- Go to Marketing > Emails > Campaigns and create a new campaign.
- Choose Blank Campaign instead of a template.
- Select the Code Editor.
- Paste your HTML and review the preview.
Make it ready to send
- Use full image addresses so pictures load for recipients.
- Replace fixed names with merge fields where you want personalization.
- Add an unsubscribe link or footer block if the design lacks one.
- Preview in desktop, tablet and mobile views, then send a test email.
A note on editors
HTML imported this way stays in the code editor. If you want drag-and-drop editing later, rebuild the design in the visual editor or use the import options that convert the layout.
Other import routes
You can also bring in a design from another email platform using the Email AI import, the Mailchimp import or the ActiveCampaign import.
Good to know: Inline CSS works best in email, because many inboxes ignore styles defined in a separate stylesheet.
