If you want checkout to show real, carrier-calculated rates, connecting Shippo gets you there.

What Shippo does

Calculates live rates from real carriers and generates shipping labels.

Setting it up

In Shippo: generate API credentials, set up shipping templates with dimensions/weights, add your shipping origin to the address book, configure carrier services.

In your store: enter your shipping origin under Payments > Settings > Shipping Origin, install the Shippo app and enter your live API token.

What you get once it's connected

Live rates at checkout, markup options, multiple carrier profiles, and a fallback rate if live rates can't be fetched.

Before you go live

Make sure product weights and dimensions are accurate — live rate calculations depend on it.
