Understand Email Conversion and Revenue Attribution

Revenue attribution connects a purchase to the email that most likely led to it. Vendi Today uses a time window to decide which campaign gets credit.

How credit is assigned

When a contact opens or clicks an email and later completes an eligible purchase inside the attribution window, that campaign is credited. If they interacted with several campaigns, the most recent qualifying one wins.

Example: a contact opens Campaign A, then clicks Campaign B, then buys within the window. Campaign B gets the credit. If the purchase happens after the window closes, no campaign is credited.

The default window is five days, and you can adjust it in the email attribution settings. A longer window credits purchases made further from the email. A shorter one is stricter.

Metrics you will see

  • Orders/Conversions: purchases credited to the campaign.
  • Revenue: total attributed revenue.
  • Revenue per Recipient: average revenue per person who received the email.
  • Conversion/Order Rate: share of recipients who converted.
  • Average Order Value: typical size of an attributed order.

View the numbers

  1. Go to Marketing > Emails > Campaigns.
  2. Click the three dots beside a campaign and choose Statistics.
  3. Click Load More Statistics.
  4. Review the conversion figures, and open the Ordered tab to see which contacts bought.

Attribution scope

Choose All Campaigns to credit any eligible email, or Product Element Specific to limit credit to emails featuring product blocks.

Eligible orders from Vendi Today payments can be attributed, including connected store orders.

Good to know: Attributed revenue is not profit or ROI. To measure return, compare it against what you spent.
