Manually Register Attendees

Sometimes people cannot or will not use the online form: walk-ins, phone bookings, partner sales, complimentary passes, or corporate groups. You can register them yourself from the dashboard, and they get real tickets and confirmation emails just like online registrants.

Add an Attendee

  1. Go to Events, open the event, and select the Registrations tab.
  2. Click Add Attendee.
  3. Choose one or more ticket types and set the quantity for each, then click Continue.
  4. For each ticket, pick an existing contact or create a new one. Fill in the required fields. When buying several tickets for one person, copy details across tickets to save typing.
  5. Choose how payment is handled (see below).
  6. Click Add & Record Payment.

New contacts you create here are saved to Contacts and linked to the registration right away.

Payment Options

  • Charge a card: bills the attendee in real time through your connected payment provider.
  • Record an offline payment: logs money collected elsewhere, such as cash, card, check, bank transfer, or other. No provider transaction is created.

Both options leave a full record with time, method, and amount.

What Happens Automatically

  • Tickets with unique QR codes are issued instantly.
  • Confirmation emails go out with ticket details and a calendar invite, using your event email templates.
  • The registrations list and ticket inventory update in real time.

Capacity Override

Manual registration still works after a ticket type shows sold out, which is useful for VIP guests and last-minute accommodations.

Good to know: Use offline payment records for free comps too, so your reports capture who attended without paying.
