Respond to Disconnected Account Alerts
When a connected social account loses its login, scheduled posts for that account cannot publish. Vendi Today shows a banner to warn you so you can fix it quickly.
Where alerts appear
- A banner across the top of Social Planner.
- The same banner on your Launchpad and Dashboard.
- An email notification as a backup, sent as soon as the disconnection is detected.
Every user who has access to Social Planner sees the banner. It names the platform and account, with wording like "The connection for the following Instagram account(s) has expired."
Alerts cover Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.
Reconnect an account
- Click the Re-integrate button on the banner.
- Sign in to the network and approve the permissions again.
- Confirm that the banner disappears and that the account shows as connected under Marketing > Social Planner > Settings.
What causes a disconnection
- Login expiry (for example, Facebook logins last about 90 days).
- A password change on the social account.
- Permissions revoked in the network's settings.
- A security update by the network.
What happens to scheduled posts
They are not published while the account is disconnected. Once you reconnect, publishing resumes. Check the calendar afterwards for anything that passed its time.
Prevent surprises
- Act on banners the same day.
- Turn on expiry notifications for the right teammates in Settings > Notifications.
- Review connected accounts once a month.
Good to know: Check the calendar after reconnecting, because posts whose time passed while the account was offline may need to be rescheduled.
