Arrange Fields With Layouts, Columns and Field Width

Choose how fields sit on the page, then fine-tune each field's width and how option lists flow.

Pick a layout

In the builder's layout settings, choose one of three arrangements:

  • Single Column: Every field stacks vertically. Simple and mobile friendly.
  • Two Column: Fields sit side by side in pairs, for a compact form.
  • Single Line: Up to five fields share one horizontal row, ideal for a slim newsletter signup.

Older forms open with Single Column or Two Column automatically, depending on whether they used the former inline setting, and they still display as before.

Set field width

  1. Click a field on the canvas.
  2. In the right panel, set Field Width as a percentage of the form width.
  3. Preview at desktop and phone sizes to confirm the proportions hold.

Percentages scale with the screen, so a 50% field stays half the width on any device.

Spread options into columns

Long lists of radio buttons, radio images or checkboxes can be split across columns.

  1. Select the Radio, Checkbox or Radio Image field.
  2. Turn on Spread to Column.
  3. Enter the number of columns.

Limits depend on layout: up to 5 columns in Single Column and Single Line forms, and up to 2 in Two Column forms. The setting does not alter older forms until you enable it.

Good to know: Use three or four columns for short options like sizes or ratings, and keep long sentences in a single column so nothing wraps awkwardly.
