Add Your Blog to the XML Sitemap

An XML sitemap is a file that lists your pages so search engines can discover them quickly. Vendi Today updates the sitemap for your domain when blog posts are published, but you need to include the blog pages in it once.

Set it up

  1. Connect your domain first under your domain settings.
  2. Open the domain's three-dot menu and choose XML Sitemap.
  3. In step one, select the pages to include. Choose Blog Home and Blog Post along with any funnels or website pages you want listed.
  4. In step two, click Generate Sitemap.

What happens next

After this one-time setup, each newly published post is added automatically. You do not need to touch the sitemap file or the robots file when you publish.

Submit it to search engines

Copy your sitemap address (usually your domain followed by /sitemap.xml) and submit it in the search console of each search engine you care about. This speeds up first-time discovery.

Troubleshooting

  • A post missing from the sitemap is usually still in Draft, Scheduled or Archived status.
  • If the blog home is missing, confirm you ticked it in step one and regenerated.

Good to know: Regenerate the sitemap whenever you add a new blog to the same domain.
