Connect Authorize.net
Authorize.net is a card-processing option for businesses in the US, Canada, and Australia who want an alternative to the default provider for invoices, order forms, and subscriptions.
Connect your account
- Log in to your Authorize.net merchant account and, under Account Settings, retrieve your API Login ID and Transaction Key.
- In Vendi Today, go to Payments > Integrations, select Add Payment Gateway, and choose Authorize.net.
- Enter your API Login ID and Transaction Key, then save.
- Run a small test transaction to confirm the connection is working before going live.
- Enable the card payment methods you want available on your invoices and order forms.
Good to know before you switch
- You can only have one default gateway active between Authorize.net and your other card processor at a time — you can't run both as the default simultaneously.
- Memberships and any subscription/SaaS-style payment links continue processing through your other connected card processor even if Authorize.net is your default elsewhere.
- Subscription cancellations initiated from within the platform currently work for Authorize.net; support for canceling PayPal or other-processor subscriptions the same way is still rolling out.
- Make sure your browser is current — Chrome 80+, Edge 85+, Firefox 78+, or Safari 12+ — since older browsers can have trouble with the checkout element.
If Authorize.net isn't available to merchants outside the US, Canada, and Australia, that's expected — it's currently limited to those regions.
