The Vendi Today WordPress Plugin

The Vendi Today plugin connects a WordPress site to your Vendi Today account. It lets you turn on live chat, publish funnel pages on your own domain, show dynamic business details, and place forms, surveys, and calendars on any page, without pasting code.

What it can do

• Chat widget: enable your Vendi Today chat widget with a checkbox. Visitor messages arrive in Conversations.
• Funnel pages: serve funnel steps as native WordPress pages at a URL you choose.
• Custom values: show values such as a phone number or promotion anywhere using a shortcode. Update it once in Vendi Today and every page follows.
• Forms, surveys, and calendars: insert them using WordPress blocks or shortcodes.

Installing and connecting

If your site is hosted through Vendi Today, the plugin is installed and connected automatically. Open the WordPress dashboard, find the Vendi Today entry in the left menu, and check that it says Connected.

For a site hosted elsewhere, go to Plugins > Add New, search for the plugin, click Install Now then Activate, and use Sign in to link your Vendi Today account.

Using the main features

1. Chat widget: open the plugin settings, tick Enable Chat Widget, and click Save.
2. Funnel page: go to the plugin's Funnels screen, click Add New, choose the funnel and step, set a slug such as special-offer, and save.
3. Custom value: open the plugin's custom values list, click the copy icon next to the value you want, and paste the shortcode into any page or post.

Troubleshooting

• Widget missing: clear your caching plugin, server cache, and browser cache.
• Blank shortcode: confirm the value has content in Vendi Today and that the shortcode was copied exactly.
• Disconnected: if you regenerated your API key, paste the new key into the plugin and save.

Good to know: After any change on a cached site, purge the cache before concluding that something is broken.
